Current Problem
We have a shopify website and I'm having a little trouble with the email notifications. When an order is dispatched, Mintsoft sends this information to shopify and shopify sends the customer a 'shipping confirmation' email. This is all good. However, when a customer orders for collection, when we mark it as 'dispatched', shopify again sends the 'shipping confirmation' email. But we don't want this, we want the 'ready for pickup' email to be sent. Having had a conversation with ChatGPT, it sounds like this is due to the information being sent to shopify from mintsoft. I have also discussed this with a shopify advisor myself and they suggested the same. This is perhaps because we are marking the order as 'despatched' on mintsoft, which triggers the 'shipping confirmation' email. We do not have another option available, so I wondered if we could create an order status that says something like 'ready for pickup' so that when the information is sent over to shopify, they can send the correct email. |
