Current Problem
The current low-stock listing only flags products once they fall below a single threshold, requiring manual review to decide reorder quantities. This can lead to inconsistent ordering, stockouts, or over-ordering. Instead, the system should automatically generate a ready-made order list whenever an SKU reaches defined trigger levels. For example, if SKU1 falls to nine units, it could automatically add ten units to a future order list. Each SKU’s trigger levels and reorder quantities must be fully customizable to align ordering with sales velocity, lead time, and storage capacity per product, while also supporting bulk settings for items with similar needs. The automated order list should be visible in Mintsoft and display item details: SKU, current on-hand level, trigger reached, and reorder quantity. The list can be reviewed by a team member and sent via email to suppliers at any time. Once items are ordered, the list can be transferred to an ASN, clearing the pending orders so the process restarts as stock is updated. |
