Current Problem
Due to recent US tariff changes our clients want to use a different HS codes for products when shipping to the US. Currently, apart from being able to amend them manually every time when the US order is submitted there is no way of automating this. It would be highly beneficial to be able to have multiple HS codes against products when shipping to specific country. |

We’re integrating with the Mintsoft API for our client.
We’d like Mintsoft to be able to support a destination-country-specific HS (commodity) code on an individual order or shipment, separate from the product’s own default commodity code.
Our use case: a product’s standard/default HS code should stay as-is on the product record, but for a specific order going to a specific destination country, we’d like the Shipping label and customs documentation Mintsoft generates for that shipment to use a more specific, country-appropriate HS code — without changing the product’s master record.
What we’ve already checked, we reviewed the full public API schema and found commodity/customs code fields only exist in two places — Product.CommodityCode (one value per SKU, shared across every order) and Client.DefaultCommodityCode (one fallback per account). Neither Order, OrderItem, nor the CreateShipment endpoint (POST /api/Order/{id}/Shipments/CreateShipment) expose anything customs/commodity-related.
Could you confirm:
Is there any way to pass or set a per-order or per-shipment HS code override — through the API, or only via the Mintsoft web UI if at all?
If this isn’t currently possible, is it something that could be considered as a feature request?
This is now very critical specifically with shipments to the USA
