Duplicate Serial Number Prevention at ASN Receiving

Current Problem
Currently, there is no functionality to enforce duplicate serial number prevention during the ASN receiving process.
Idea to resolve Problem
Prevent duplicate serial numbers at the ASN receiving stage. If a serial number is already in stock or has been scanned previously within the same ASN, the system should display an error and reject the duplicate entry.

Personally I've never operated this way.
Our serialised inventory is setup not to record serial number during the inbound process but record them at the point of despatch. There was a bug on the old app where regardless of how you had this configured on the system, the app always requested a serial number ben booking in via the app, so we had to book this type on inventory in via the PC's.
I've been assured this bug was addressed in the new app.
Totally get you point but wanted to highlight we way we operate.
