You cannot filter to see ONLY discontinued products. At the moment, you can only filter to also see discontinued products alongside active products, but no option to see JUST discontinued products.
Idea to resolve Problem
Make it possible in the products overview, or inventory report to filter ONLY discontinued. Not discontinued + active products.
