Add 'ITF-14 BARCODES' to allow scanning of bulk quantity or outer carton's

No description provided
Current Problem

Whilst mintsoft has the ability to generate barcodes in EAN, UPC or QR, it is missing vital and international recognised ITF barcodes which many manufactures use on bulk or outer cartons ro allow 1 scan for the full qty inside the carton.

INFO: ITF-14 barcodes are used to identify cases, cartons, or outer packaging for logistics and warehouse management, speeding up processing and reducing errors in the supply chain. They are not for use at the retail point of sale but are essential for tracking bulk products and can be printed directly on corrugated cardboard, making them durable for shipping. Key reasons to use ITF-14 barcodes

  • Logistics and tracking: They are designed to track outer cases or bulk units of a product as they move through the supply chain.

  • Direct printing: They can be printed directly onto low-quality surfaces like cardboard, which is common for shipping cartons.

  • Error reduction: The check digit at the end of the 14-digit code helps ensure accurate scanning.

  • Warehouse efficiency: They are larger and easier to scan in a warehouse environment, which speeds up the process of receiving and tallying stock.

  • Traceability: They improve visibility and accountability by making it easier to trace products throughout the supply chain.

  • Packaging level indicator: The first digit of the barcode indicates the packaging level (e.g., a case of 12 units), providing more specific information about the shipment.
