Automatic item replacement in orders based on stock availability and predefined substitution rules

We have customers who request specific product substitutions based on their preferences (e.g., "Customer X never wants chocolate flavor, always replace with vanilla flavor in equal quantities").

Currently, there is no way to automate these customer-specific preferences in Mintsoft. Every time this customer places an order containing the unwanted product, we must:

• Manually identify the order contains the restricted item

• Manually edit the order to remove the unwanted product

• Manually add the preferred replacement product with the exact same quantity

• Risk missing orders and shipping products the customer explicitly doesn't want

• Risk errors in replacement quantities

This creates operational inefficiency, increases the chance of customer dissatisfaction when we accidentally ship the wrong product, and wastes valuable warehouse staff time on repetitive manual edits. For customers with standing replacement preferences, this manual process occurs on every single order.

Without an automated solution, we cannot reliably honor customer-specific product preferences at scale, leading to potential complaints, returns, and damaged customer relationships.
