Shared Stock Pool Across Multiple Clients with Segregated Order Visibility

No description provided
Current Problem

We would like the ability to operate a shared stock model across multiple client accounts within Mintsoft, while maintaining strict separation of order and sales visibility.

Our use case is a hybrid 3PL + resale model:

  • We store and fulfil stock for a client in our warehouse

  • We also purchase this stock upfront and sell the same products ourselves

  • Both us and the client draw from the same physical stock pool

  • We invoice the client for fulfilment (pick/pack/ship)

  • We also invoice/reconcile based on stock usage (what each party has sold)

The problem:

Currently, Mintsoft requires stock to sit under a single client, and does not support shared inventory across clients. If we split into multiple clients, stock accuracy breaks. If we keep everything under one client, we cannot restrict visibility — meaning the client can see our own sales/orders, which is not commercially viable.

There is also no native way to distinguish or report on:

  • Stock used by the client

  • Stock used by the 3PL (our own sales)

What we need:

A feature that allows:

  1. A single shared stock pool across multiple client accounts

  2. The ability for different clients/accounts to draw from the same inventory

  3. Clear reporting to track stock usage by client/account

  4. Proper segregation of order visibility, so each client can only view their own sales/orders

  5. Accurate stock calculations across all parties

Business impact / benefit:

This would support a growing number of hybrid fulfilment models where 3PLs:

  • Act as both warehouse providers and resellers

  • Fund inventory upfront

  • Share stock with clients

Without this feature, businesses are forced to:

  • Use manual workarounds outside Mintsoft

  • Limit client access to the platform

  • Or compromise on operational transparency

Implementing shared stock with proper visibility controls would:

  • Enable more flexible commercial models

  • Improve accuracy and automation

  • Increase platform adoption for more complex 3PL operations

Idea to resolve Problem We are essentially looking for true multi-client shared inventory with controlled visibility and usage tracking, which would unlock more advanced and scalable fulfilment partnerships within Mintsoft.
