Current Problem
The despatching of stock from source warehouse and receiving of that stock into destination warehouse in warehouse transfers is too disconnected. For example, it is possible to receive the ASN into the destination without the stock ever having been despatched from the source warehouse. Or for stock to be despatched from the source but then never received into the destination warehouse if the ASN is deleted or cancelled. This can result in stock effectively disappearing or being created out of thin air, with nothing to flag the anomaly. |

| Idea to resolve Problem | the ASN linked to a warehouse transfer should only become live after the corresponding source order has been despatched. And only the quantities despatched should be available to be received. Any quantities not received should remain in an "in transfer" status and, if the ASN is cancelled or deleted, should be automatically returned to the source warehouse. |
