This is so important when dealing with food products (amongst other items with BBE/Batches). Having to book in under ASN and then adjust out to add via Book Inventory is a huge design flaw.
Understand the logic but my concern would be if the team are presented with BBE / batch data, they could easily just accept this. Many a time I've seen a supposed single batch delivery contain the same BBE but different batch numbers and my concern would be despite all the training and processes put in place, someone somewhere will just click accept and your data integrity has gone.
