Is it not possible to create rework items with the same barcode for different customers?

Current Problem

Our materials used for packing orders (boxes,envelopes etc) have barcodes on them, We use this barcode to apply rework correctly for using specific materials.

But I want to charge different customers different pricing for using these materials, But I cannot create multiple rework items with the same barcode, This seems odd
Idea to resolve Problem Allow the barcode to be used for different clients

      Hi, we've had this issue, there is an awkward workaround, add the rework with a '@' at the end of the barcode and link to one of that clients products, save and then go back in, remove the @ and link to the correct product.
