We need to be able to either set individual backorders as priority allocation, or manually select an order as priority.
Example - We have x150 of product A, X10 of product B. An order on the system calls for x150 product A and x15 of product B.
All of product A is now allocated to this order, but backordered due to not enough of product B.
All orders coming in for product A are now backordered, and we need to manually un-allocate them from the oldest order, and HOPE the system allocates the product to our priority orders. We find this also creates lots of allocation issues, and subsequently must raise a case for the allocation discrepancies to be rectified.
Only thing I can suggest is to change the Backorder Allocation Policy to 'Manual', this will keep the large order unallocated and new orders for Product A will process automatically. Hope that helps
