Orders Awaiting Courier Prices

We currently face a challenge when we want to update the postage costs on an order.

When we invoice the order if there aren't courier costs against the courier selected, the order will go to Orders Awaiting Courier Prices. The courier costs are not set up due to the variations we receive from couriers and will be causing more problems if we were to set this up.

Further more, on that awaiting courier price status, we have 3 options:

a) to invoice the order without updating the postage costs through the bulk action

b) update the postage cost on the table one by one and invoice the order

c) download the template, update the postage costs and re-upload

We need to be able to provide postage costs via the invoicing process so they appear together with the order breakdown fees, and the most efficient way to do that is option C.

That's because we receive weekly the transportation costs from our couriers on a csv file, which we then need to pass on to our customers. The ideal scenario for us would be to use the template and just put the order reference and postage costs and upload the template, however, the order ID is a required field for this template.

With the current way we are forced to invoice the order without postage costs, and provide a separate sheet to the customer with their transportation costs when we invoice them.

What are our options to bulk update the postage costs without using the order ID? Can the order ID be amended not to be a mandatory field on the template? For example if the mandatory fields would be only the Order reference, postage costs and Client columns?
