Scanning Packaging Item / Rework Charges (rework barcodes)

Want to be able to add and track boxes to order but my understanding of reading the above article is that you have to 'book' stock into an unassigned location in order for this to work?

Erm - why? There are a few areas where unassigned is the answer but in the real world, it's the problem!!!!

We book packaging into locations so we know where it is and the system knows not to suggest these locations to store stock. Effectively it's just the same as a product an you're not going to book product into an unassigned location! Link this with the warehouse setting of do not allow unassigned locations and there is a conflict of interest.....

Surely the system should be downdating a real location? If you have you own packaging, plus bespoke packaging for a number of clients, it simply can't all be in unassigned.
