Current Problem
Create an automated tag of 'New' on ASNs for SKUs that are new to the warehouse. This will allow the inbound team to identify SKUs that they're seeing for the first time and separate them from replenishment of existing SKUs. By doing so, inbound staff have an opportunity to treat these SKUs differently. I.e.:
Additional tags may be of interest such as 'Marketing campaign' or 'Custom Packaging' to allow for different processes a warehouse may have for these items compared to standard stock SKUs. I.e. there may be a short month-long marketing campaign of a SKU that doesn't require a permanent storage location. |
The arrival and processing of new products is a crucial, and potentially time inefficient process that without the correct system alerts are difficult to control. I would have thought this should have been almost a pre-requisite for product management
