Current Problem

Having to scan packaging, only in the order for weight, doesn't need to be scanne .

Idea to resolve Problem Have it in the order without a barcode/ needing to scan it

      Can you not add the packaging item as a re-work instead?


      You can automate a re-work being added with order rules. This would add the weight, can charge a fee for the item and it will book the item out of stock if you have the re-work linked to the packaging SKU.

      i use automated order rules to roundup weights for courier thresholds... for example if order weight is under 650g then do nothing as my courier tiered price then kicks in at 750g : 2kg : 5kg : 15kg : 25kg

      orders with a weight between 651g - 700g round to 800g
      orders with weight between 1.8kg-1.99kg round to 2.5kg

      etc


      hope this helps and it doesnt add extra lines to the order
