Current Problem
When an order cannot be completed in full, it goes into backorder and holds stock. However, for fast-moving SKUs, this can result in some pallets with only one or two units left on them, which can cause inefficiencies in the picking process. If a product does not have a best-before date, it does not need to allocate from the active pallet but simply needs to prevent the stock from falling below a certain level of units. |

Idea to resolve Problem | We propose implementing a soft allocation for backorders option in Mintsoft. This feature would cap the available stock but would not allocate from the picking location, preventing stock levels from falling below a certain level of units and ensuring efficient allocation for fast-moving SKUs. |
Hi, Thank you for your suggestion. Soft allocation will be something that we consider as part of an allocation logic rework.
We have a customer that works a lot with backorders and this becomes a nightmare
