We are unable to assign specific location to specific sales channels over and above the current FIFO process based on batch dates. We think this would be very useful for clearing stock or limiting it to specific sales channels and could be achieved by assigning batches to sales channels or instead assigning locations to sales channels in which we put a specific batch.

I think it would be good to also add the functionality of the system to only allocate from one batch automatically instead of splitting the order across 2 different ones if there isn't enough stock to cover from one batch.
e.g if you have 100 in stock of batch 1 and 100 in stock of batch 2, and a customer orders 150, it would then place the order on backorder instead of using FIFO.
Aware that you can do this manually but not sure how you'd do this automatically as you'd probably have to link the location(s) to the channel somehow......
