Current Problem
There is no integrated order invoice & courier label of a zebra printer size. It causes a selection of matching to happen which gives more chances of human error. Also, the only way to integrate a label is using A4 paper, which is more harmful for the environment too. Whereas the order invoice can be on a label 4x4in and the courier label on 4x4in. |

Idea to resolve Problem | The function of Mini Batch print allows a convenient way of printing invoices which saves the cost of A4 paper and easy to manage for warehouse staff and customers, as well as using less paper. Also having the option to integrate a courier label onto this allows for a fast and reliable way of ensuring the right courier label is attached to the correct order, as well as the benefits listed above. |
Picking & Packing / Extras / Manage Barcode Verification Rules - add clients in there to force scanning at despatch :)
Correct! So with the way you are doing it, are you getting good accuracy or does it still cause issues? We are thinking of activating "App - Multi-Tote Picking" as that seems to be the only way to ensure a barcode verification at a pack station. Otherwise the problem with bulk picks is things can get mixed up
We use the custom despatch notes and I've created a 4x6 thermal (Zebra) label that we use for 90% of our orders which is printed out at the despatch desks. Saves the paper and it a whole lot faster.
Maybe the devs can combine this with your 'mini batch' as I agree, sometimes its difficult to ensure the right labels go with the right orders. At least using the Zebra labels they are joined together!
