Current Problem
Hi there, We have numerous clients with best before dates on their stock and I think the system needs enhancing to cope with the complexities of this. Firstly, I believe we should be able to select a 'minimum shelf life' time period per client. Some clients may not want to sell stock with less than 90 days 'life' so the system should use the current date along with the aforementioned '90' and allow / block shipping of dated stock. Also it should not allow out of date stock to be sent! Secondly, if a client has the appropriate shelf life set, the various connectors should only report relevant stock to the website. If a client / operative has not run / actioned the expiry date report you will have short dated / out of date stock being sent to the website. |

Idea to resolve Problem | Add 'minimum shelf live' setting to individual clients and use this in conjunction with the system date to control despatches / stock levels on connectors |
Hi, Thank you for your suggestion. Minimum shelf life is something that we will consider when looking at improving Mintsoft's allocation logic.
Indeed a much needed feature.
We have circumnavigated this issue by enforcing the responsibility to run the report to the client. If they fail to catch stock and request it is quarantined/scrapped then they are at fault. All our clients with BBE / Batch have a scheduled report at the end of each month.
You can set a BBE threshold warning per product.
